A Team Captain, Jessica Martin exemplifies the ideal student-athlete. Martin is an Honor Roll student, four-year varsity soccer letterman and four-year varsity starter. Jessica played in more than 90 high school games, recording 70 wins and 6 ties. Martin made three FHSAA Region-3 Finalist appearances, won two Regional Championships, made two FHSAA Final Four appearances, and was dominant in her team’s 2018 4A State Championship. Voted in by opposing coaches within the conference, Martin was named to 2020’s prestigious All Cape Coast Conference Team.
In addition to impressive statistics on the field, Jessica is known amongst her coaches and teammates as one of the hardest workers on the field. She’s encouraging to her teammates and sets the standard for work ethic. She’s often described as 100% team player, full of heart, who leaves it all on the field each game. A recipient of the 2020 Mustang Award, this accolade isn’t statistic based but given to the teammate best representing the team through hard work, dedication, and making the overall biggest impact on the team.
A student of the game, Jessica studies game film and has became an offensive nemesis, creating frustration for her opponents week after week. Her physical strength and speed are unmatched.
Constantly working to improve her contribution to the team, Martin completed National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) Captains Course and demonstrates excellent leadership on and off the field.
Martin will be continuing her student-athlete career, signing to play collegiate soccer with Eastern Florida State College.
