Jase Parks of Merritt Island soccer won this week’s online vote for Community Credit Union Florida Athlete of the Week.
Parks received 22,460 of the 48,189 votes cast at floridatoday.com and 321preps.com. That was 46.61 percent of the vote. Following was Piper Miller of Edgewood soccer, who received 18,112 votes.
Parks was nominated for his performance last Wednesday when he recorded 12 saves against Melbourne in a shutout win that clinched the Cape Coast Conference title.
