MERRITT ISLAND, Florida – With dual district championships and post-season playoff runs, Merritt Island High School earns eight first-team spots and two second-team nods on Florida Today’s All Space Coast Team. No other school in Brevard County had as many student-athletes recognized for this prestigious honor.
Zara Anderson, Junior, Merritt Island: Anderson finished the season with 15 goals and six assists.
Kyleigh Trout, Senior, Merritt Island: Trout had 14 assists and nine goals for the Mustangs.
Brooklyn McDuffie, Senior, Merritt Island: McDuffie scored 15 goals and had three assists.
Dani Grenon, Senior, Merritt Island: Grenon was key defensive player for the district 8-5A championship team.
Julianna Trujilo, Sophomore, Merritt Island: Trujilo had 91 saves and eight shutouts for Merritt Island.
Seamus Feeney, Senior, Merritt Island: The senior scored 10 goals and eight assists for the Cape Coast Conference champions.
Grant Paperella, Senior, Merritt Island: Paperella had 17 assists to go along with his nine goals.
Will Zabin, Senior, Merritt Island: Zabin scored five goals and assisted on four more.

Merritt Island High School is an accredited public high school in Brevard County, Florida. The school offers classes for grades 9-12, including Honors courses, Advanced Placement courses, and courses with the Dual Enrollment program at Eastern Florida State College. There are also a variety of academies available for students to enroll in, including the Advanced Placement Academy, Fame Academy for the performing arts and multi-media entertainment, and Davinci.
