A team captain, Kyleigh Trout is an exceptional student-athlete. Trout is an Honor Roll student, two-year varsity track letterman, four-year varsity soccer letterman and four-year varsity soccer starter. Carrying a 4.6 (weighted) GPA, Kyleigh is ranked 12th in her senior class and will graduate with an AP Diploma.
Kyleigh started in more than 65 varsity high school games, scored 31 goals, and recorded 49 assists. Her assists record secured her place in the Merritt Island history books as third in all-time assists over the program’s 35 years.
All four of Trout’s varsity soccer seasons included post-season playoff appearances. These included 2022 District Championship & region quarterfinalist, 2019 & 2021 region finalists, and 2020 FHSAA region champion, state semifinalist.
Kyleigh also earned All Space Coast (Honorable Mention) 2021, FACA All-State Team 2021, FACA Academic All-State 2021, 2021 “Mustang Award” Recipient, and All Cape Coast Conference for 2021 and 2022, which is voted on by opposing coaches within the conference.
Trout completed National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) Captains Course and demonstrates excellent leadership on and off the field.
